Annual Minority Network Meetings

Civil society activists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia meet for a 2-day network meeting every year. The first time, in Lopota, Georgia, the meeting focused on the Eastern Partnership advocacy mechanisms and opportunities for minorities.

The 2nd exchange meeting in Yerevan reflected on experiences from the Third Annual EaP Summit in Vilinus.  Many of the participants were concerned with growing instability in Ukraine and what it might portend for minority communities.  Avaz Hasanov, the former facilitator for the EaP National Platform in Azerbaijan, spoke about the functions and value of Civil Society Forum and the importance of minority organization’s participation in the process. The second day, minority representatives visited the Yezidi community in Armenia.
