The Eastern Partnership Minorities Network brings together about 80 minority organizations and civil society leaders across Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. EaP Minorities Network is open to activists and civil society organisations, including ethnic, linguistic, national, religious minorities, indigenous peoples and visible minority communities.
Minority Rights Group’s three-year programme builds the capacity of minority organisations and develop a network of activists. Their increased engagement with relevant national authorities and their strengthened role within the EaP enable them to effectively participate in democratic and policy processes positively impacting development and human rights for their communities.
Our work in the Eastern Partnership Minorities Network is continually guided by the needs of minority groups themselves. Our members provide us with an invaluable link to issues, activities and news from their countries and regions that is essential to the effectiveness of our work.
We support religious and ethnic minority leaders and Network partners from Eastern Partnership countries to participate at international and regional forums such as the UN Forum on Minority Issues, OSCE Parallel Civil Society Conference, OSCE Human Dimension Implementation Meeting and the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
Our training and outreach work is aimed at empowerment. We hold in-country trainings and seminars on the Eastern Partnership processes and minority rights advocacy in all six countries. Minority participants improve knowledge and skills on the EaP processes of their own countries and build contacts with National Platforms.
Our country reports and landmark policy paper offer compelling analysis of the impact of the Eastern Partnership on minorities and indigenous peoples in the six countries. We put these issues before the general public and decision-makers, with regular and growing coverage of our work in the international and national print, broadcast and online media.
Minority Rights Group (MRG) lobbies governments and international organisations alongside, and on behalf of, minorities. We publish authoritative reports widely valued by academics and journalists. MRG has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and observer status with the African Commission for Human and Peoples’ Rights.
Analytical Center for Interethnic Cooperation and Consultations (ACICC) seeks to improve integration and civic and political participation of community-based minorities organizations in Georgia.
Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC) supports public sector reforms and development of good practices in local governance, produces expert assessments and analysis of conflict transformation and regional cooperation issues in Armenia.
European Centre for Minority Issues Caucasus works to improve the competencies of minority organizations and assists governments in building institutional capacities to develop and implement policies on national minority issues.
No Borders Project/Social Action Centre provides legal support for refugees from Central Asia and for victims of hate crimes and discrimination, and runs a project on hate speech monitoring in Ukraine.
